Favorite Sports Team:  Notre Dame and Ohio State football, but I never lose sleep over who loses. 
 
Favorite Bible Story:  God calling Abraham to follow Him
 
Favorite Verses:  Romans 5:8; 10 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” 
 
What brought you to FMC:  The opportunity to serve at my home church and be near family. 
 
Why do you stay:  We have an awesome church staff that has become an extended family. We have an awesome church family who loves us and we love them. 
 
Hobbies:  In this stage of life my family is my hobby. When I have the time, I enjoy: kayaking, hiking, and hanging out with friends playing yard games like Kan Jam or Spike Ball.

Jake graduated from Bethel College (University) in 2005 with a teaching degree. He taught elementary school for 3 years and then became a resident director at Goshen College for 3 years. He received his masters in ministry from Bethel in 2011. Jake started working at FMC in June 2011.  He and his wife Amber have returned to their home church since birth where Jake is the Connections Pastor and Benevolence Pastor. They have three sons, Micah, Levi, and Asher; and a daughter, Gabriella.
